Well-circulated, and famous Dutch-language daily newspaper, The Daily Suriname Herald published two articles on Arunita Kanjilal’s recent visit to Suriname. I am translating some parts of it into English. I am also giving the link to the entire article, you must read them.

The organization is in the hands of Hardcore Entertainment. Hardcore Entertainment’s Shaike Maikoe says that after a two-year COVID-19 period, it was about time they put on another show of this level. The organization managed to get this done because The Magnificent 4 is doing an America tour. The Indian singers are accompanied by a live band of Indian musicians.
The singers are happy to hear that they have a fan base in Suriname. Pawandeep says that he went to visit Suriname when he heard that Suriname is one of the destinations where he and his team would perform. This is how he learned that Suriname was a colony of the Netherlands and became independent in 1975. The singers have already received a lot of love when they landed in Suriname.

Various singers have already entered the Bollywood music scene. Some even have projects underway for emerging Bollywood films. Arunita has been allowed to sing a song for the movie Sita Ramam which will be released in December.
The show started hours later because of the rain, which poured down from heaven, while the organization Hardcore entertainment had a whole outdoor setting in place. The field the people were supposed to sit on was soaking wet and parts were even under water.
The diehard fans have stayed and managed to get a place in the stands. The seats of the VIP guests were replaced by the jardin seats and we worked with all our might to still give the people a good show.

Aunita took the stage after Sayli and managed to charm the audience with her divine voice. ‘Moh Moh Ke Dhaage’ was one of the songs she performed with ease and joy alongside the well-known and all-time favorites like ‘Lag Ja Gale’, ‘Tujhse Naraaz Nahin Zindagi’, ‘Kehna Hi Kya’ and the uplifting ‘Ghoomar’ from the movie Padmaavat. A surprise was the duo song ‘Ami Je Tomar’ from the movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa which she sang together with Sayli.

Pawandeep has also sung a song along with Arunita, the song ‘Pehla Nasha Pehla Khumar’ and ‘Dheere dheere naino Ko dhire dhire’. After the duo took over, Danish managed to get the audience off their seats with some rousing songs starting with ‘Tere Bin Nahin Jeena Mar Jana’.
Despite the long wait, the public has been able to enjoy the Bollywood Indian Idol stars. Unfortunately, they couldn’t enjoy themselves to the fullest, because the weather gods decided otherwise. They do have some advice for the organization to think about placing tents next time, especially when it is known that it is a rainy season. People have come dressed up to go home soaking wet. Some didn’t wait and went home, especially the senior citizens, who couldn’t handle all that excess water.
